Just One Time…

Taos, New Mexico

I’d like to take an old, colorful, not so perfect truck like this on a long, slow road trip in the American west. No interstates, back roads only.  I imagine we’d find some tasty food in those small town diners along the way, along with some incredible scenery enhanced by the view through the windshield of this old Chevy. I’d leave all the technology home and just enjoy the AM radio stations that no doubt are the only thing available on this pink beauty. That’s just fine. I’d rather listen to the sounds of the breeze and the road.

Yeah, just one time, I’d like to take a long, slow road trip in a truck like this.

Monte Vista, Colorado

Then, when I’m done with that trip, I’d do it all over again in this one.

Holly, Colorado

Then another in this one…

Ferryville, Wisconsin

…and then this one.

What are you daydreaming about today?

I know you posted this a while ago…but I just have to say that I’m in love with any truck similar to these I see. Someday when i live in the country, I will have one. At least I tell myself that. Really beautiful photos!

Thanks dear! They are cool aren’t they? I love finding them at random like that. I swear I wanted to buy that pink one on the spot, but sensible hubby said no. :( One of these days though :)

Thanks for the rhubarb-banana bread recipe! Hubby can’t wait to make it….

I’ve driven cross country a few times and, truck or no, I doubt that I’ll do it again. I will fly, though, hopefully to some nice beach — not deserted, though. I want cocktails delivered periodically and, perhaps, a nosh or two as the afternoon wears on. Come to think of it, a clambake would be nice, too. :)

I love your love of trucks and travel. I’d love to ride along wherever you took me.

I’ve been daydreaming about the next several days during which my work hours will be minimal during Dr. Onderak’s vacation. Ahhhh…time to myself.

Have a great Tuesday, Sarie. Did I tell you I admire you immensely? Well, I do.

One of those trucks would have been handy today! My husband & I were driving back from my parents’ place and we ran smack dab into the middle of a cattle drive. On the highway! I was a bit nervous about my car, but that robin’s-egg-blue truck would have been perfect to help hurry those critters along.
