How’s everyone doing? Are we stressed over the whole holiday thing yet? I admit, I am. I baked all day yesterday and sent out several packages of cookies. I’m even stressing over whether they’ll make it to their destinations in tact. Ah, Christmas.
Next I should probably get the rest of the presents wrapped and shipped….

I’ve been saving this photo since last Christmas. I love that such a simple idea can make such a beautiful present. I happened to see a similar string of “crystals” and “pearls” in the Christmas ribbon aisle at Michael’s the other day too.
Fabric as wrapping? Why not? Using a holiday kitchen towel is a great idea. I love this…

…and using fabric would be so easy to do. No ribbon or bows necessary.
Simple brown craft paper dressed up with ribbon, ornaments, faux berries, or whatever else you can come up with, isn’t something I would have thought of on my own, but I love the look.

Even more brown paper jazzed up with pretty things. I like the thoughtful, handmade feeling of these.

This one is my favorite, by far. For some reason, I always have old maps around. I think it’s because I love all the colors in them so I can’t bear to throw them away. I’ve been known to recycle them into envelopes, file folders, gift card holders….why not wrapping paper? I love how they’ve played up the blues in the map with that pretty blue ribbon.

Tone on tone – perfect in every way for someone like me who adores simple but pretty. Love the starfish embellishment.

Sheet music! Perfect! I have lots of that from my old piano playing days. And, it looks like another gift wrapped with fabric in the form of a handkerchief? Very cute.

Fabric again, this time in the form of burlap. I love the casual, simple look of this. I wish I could make a beautiful bow like that…..
I think I’m ready to wrap now
What about you? How far are you on your shopping and wrapping? I hope you guys are doing well and enjoying this chaotic month.

These are all really awesome. I like the first one best. The map wrap is pretty too. And the brown wrapping paper is so very down-to-earth. See, I really do like all of them.
I’m pleased to say that I’m not stressing out at all over Christmas. I wonder why!!!!! It’s strange feeling so at peace with the season. I’m even loving the Christmas music that’s been playing on the radio at work all day since Thanksgiving. We’re sooooo fortunate to be able to relocate ourselves for the latter half of December. I just know you’ll find peace in whatever you do from here on out. Imagine a blanket of joy and peace wrapped around you from head to toe. It’s soft but impenetrable to anything but comfort and warmth.
Happy Friday, my friend.
Ahhhhhh, that sounds perfect. Add some Cedarburg Spice and we’re good to go! I’m so glad you get to get outta here for the last part of the month. It makes me happy for you. We’re still planning our little getaway too…I’m ready. You have a wonderful Friday dear!!!! xoxo
I prefer wrapping presents with brown paper grocery bags. That way you can kill two birds with one stone… wrap presents and recycle at the same time. See, you’ve help save the environment. And if you were really creative, you could bust out your stamps and personalize each wrapped present.
Or you could be like me and keep the “Woodmans” logo facing outward, and use as much packaging tape as possible. Because really, the holiday time is all about challenges, isn’t it?
LOL!!!!!!!!!!! Yes it is!!!!!! Oh this cracks me up Heather. Of course, I made the mistake of reading it to Russ. While he was eating Cheez-its, lol!!!!!!
